Welcome to
The Lugger Inn

Liam, Gill and new Lugger Team would like to welcome you to The Lugger Inn. During 2020 and recent 2021 Lockdown, we have worked hard to renovate and improve the Bar, Restaurant and Garden areas ready for re-opening in the Spring.

We have put in place safety measures and will endeavour to keep all of our lovely customers and staff safe whilst maintaining a great atmosphere inside and out. The 14 bedrooms, above the pub, are available to book here

We will be open for Lunch (not Monday) and Evening meal service every day of the week. Please check our opening hours, events page and social media pages for more information on what’s going on at the Lugger Inn.

We would highly recommend that you book a table for food and drink due to social distancing legislation. Please call us to book a table.

We look forward to seeing you very soon at The Lugger Inn, Chickerell.

At The Lugger all 14 rooms are en–suite, with either a shower or bath (three rooms have a corner spa bath installed) and we now have 3 ground floor rooms including a full disabled facility room and wheelchair access bathroom and shower.

Tea and coffee facilities are included and all rooms have a colour TV with Free View.

All rooms are strictly non smoking.
The Jurassic Coast line.

Dorset′s spectacular coastline makes up part of England′s first natural world Heritage site, The Jurassic Coast line.

Chickerell was originally a fishing village with connections to the Fleet and Moonfleet, famous for its little church where Blackbeard supposedly buried his treasures. Chickerell is a commuter area convenient for both Weymouth and the Roman town of Dorchester. It has a strong village community and plenty of local activities including Dorset league football club, horse riding stables to name but a few.
